Well about two years ago they fricked up Amazon Music to the point that it is unlistenable, so this is par for the course.

It's basically just cable now, all these streamers doing their own thing plus commercials. And most of them aren't even really worth it. We've come full circle.

So you paid for Prime for no commercials...
Then Prime added Freevee...then Prime becomes Freevee, but you now pay. Streaming has gone full circle back to the old.

Correct. I deleted the app. You can’t listen to Amazon Music without the ads.

I actually pay for it and downloaded an album for a flight. It downloaded each song as if they were individual albums and out of order. Literally unlistenable

This is why I pirate everything and have no guilt. It should also be said that I have prime for ordering items.
The shows I pirate work 10 times better on pirating apps than trying to watch them on prime. If a new show comes out on prime today I'll watch it on my apps, they're less glitchy and way more functional.

You have to move to Calcutta to cancel and do it in person apparently. Its a grift of a music service.
Until someone tells me better, Tidal is a spendy but hassle-free, decent alternative with better sound compared to Amazon's piece of shite music service.

Man, if Amazon plays commercials during movies that I purchased....

I pay for Amazon music Unlimited so I don't have any issues with ads. Every "free" service has ads these days. Look at YouTube.
Hulu has ads unless you upgrade.
Podcast have ads read by the podcasters
TuneIn Radio has ads unless you upgrade
Peacock TV has ads
FreeVee has ads
Tubi has ads
Games on your phone you download for free have ads
Nothing is free in this world. They have to pay the bills and ads pay Big $$$
