watched it yesterday with my wife. i felt it was a good, heart wrenching movie. very difficult to watch at times, though. the most difficult thing about it, to me, was knowing shite like that happens every day somewhere here in the US....very sad

I saw it and almost wished I had not. Yes, it was a good movie but just a little to disturbing for me.

the performances were great.
it was difficult to watch because of what she went through her entire life, and especially the way her mother treated her and allowed things to happen to her

Just too damn depressing for me to enjoy. Certainly beautiful at parts but not enough to overcome the whole.
