Just watched point break, its been a while since I have seen it and came to the conclusion that "Fast and the Furious" was the exact same movie remade. Sub surfboads for cars and it is exactly the same. Young cop goes under cover to find a gang. makes friends with gang. bust the wrong gang. realizes his friends is who he is after. Then lets the guy go at the end.

Just kidding?? Point Break came out in 1991. You've had over 20 years to watch it on VHS, Laserdisk, DVD, Blue Ray, MP4, or any of the other countless manifestations in which it is available.

Both are great movies in their own right.
Point Break had a realer sense of danger because people died.

If you weren't entertained by either movie, then you should probably not watch movies because...well...it's not your medium.

You're right. Same movie and I'd noticed it before.
Made a bundle of $ though. Lot of films are "remade" like this. Copy what works.
Point Break was Bigelow and James Cameron when they were married. The jumping out of a place was a great action bit. Good movie actually.

In Point Break he doesnt quite let him go. There are bunch of other cops there. He lets him go commit surf suicide rather than go to jail. F&F he really does let him escape.

I saw it here in Louisville by the same company that did Evil Dead the Musical. It was fantastic.
