I could listen to Attenborough read the want adds. SOB has the best voice for narration.

It blows my mind how they get that up close footage. And not from a stationary camera. Those shots were moving. You'd figure the animals would run in fear

Some are close. Some have used great lenses.

If I remember correctly from the first one, some of the cameramen spends months just trying to get one shot. Admirable.

I proceeded to watch about an hour and a half of planet earth stuff on YouTube because of that trailer

For those wondering about the weird tower things in the trailer, it is the Gardens by the Bay nature park in Singapore.

Everything about what these filmmakers are able to capture is amazing.
Personally - I can't wait to see more snow leopard footage.
To think that up until about a decade ago - There had been less than 10 minutes of recorded footage of these big cats in the wild TOTAL...and it was only of solo leopards, no cubs...
I think recent conservation efforts have brought their numbers up ever so slightly - but that in no way diminishes the hurculean efforts the cameramen go through to film them (pretty sure a Nature/National Geographic crew member died while filming Silent Roar: Search For The Snow Leopard(2014).
Can't wait to see more of these amazing creatures.

Yeah amazing stuff.
I want to see a indepth documentary about the filming of planet earth, all the travel, gear and turmoil the filming crews go through to get a 20sec shot

I know at the end of each Planet Earth episode, they didn't a little ~5 minute segment on the filming process. Hopefully, they do something similar for this series.

These photographers, videographers...whatever they are...they are some of the most patient people in the world.
I still don't know how they do some of their steady cam stuff and tracking shots.
And did you see how close that eagle got to that cactus while landing?!
Remember the New Zealand bird that shows it's colorful feathers like once every 2 years or some shite? Dude waiting in a rain forest for 2 months in camo to catch 15 seconds of a bird dancing on a log.
GOAT.
