I think this is a terrible idea too. Let me repeat, I think this is a TERRIBLE idea. The only thing that may redeem this is that Paul Feig is directing and most of what he has done is good. And the movies he has done with these actresses are considered successes. Only one I have seen is Bridesmaids but I like it and I want to see Spy. Having said that, trying to reboot Ghostbusters after the awesomeness of Murray and co is just something I wouldn't even want to try.

Maybe I'm out of the loop of popular culture but I've never even heard of Melissa McCarthy. I've seen zero movies with her in it. That trend seems likely to continue.
