Pick a major film franchise to die for at least 20 years.

You get to choose which franchise dies till at least 2042, who do you pick? (To make it difficult exclude Marvel & Star Wars)
My nominations are almost all from the 80’s that have been rebooted, resequeled, &/or prequeled.

Predator
Super Heroes like Batman & Superman could be on the list as well as franchises like Jurassic Park or Bond.

The problem is these movies are being remade through the 2020 lens. That’s what is making them awful , not simply being made

Star Trek. The idea of remaking ip that's still in circulation is so dumb. just give us the Enterprise captain who comes after Picard...but that was too obvious and didn't recycle big brand characters.
