Am I the only one that waited for it to come out on Netflix and not manage to somehow watch it early on BBC?? I am surprised there hasn't been a thread on this.

Anyway, watched the first episode last night. Enjoyed it. Saving the rest for the overnight plane ride home from Anchorage at the end of the week.

Anyone have any opinions so far?

The ending is worse than the Sopranos. Truly awful season.

Watched it yesterday. Another poster said it well - first and last couple episodes are better. Ending wasn’t satisfactory.

Can’t help but see all the Biblical allusions: gold, sapphire, ruby. Only chapter in the Bible that mentions all three is Job 28. The search for wisdom is what Tommy divides himself over.

Five of the six or so hours were spent watching Tommy smoke and brood to a so-so soundtrack.

Naw I watched it weekly as it came out on BBC. So I am interested that they plan to make a movie moving forward.

Had been counting down until s6, well wasted my time

this was the opposite of a Vince Gilligan series, writer must be saving up for movie because this was trash.

It was like they wrote s6 anticipating 2 more seasons.

It was entertaining enough. Not like i regret losing the time. But as a series finale season it was very lazy.

I don't like how Finn got off free and how shittily Alphie treated Thomas after what Tommy did for him.

He did get 5 million, didnt he?

But, yeah, it was a terrible season. Reconnecting with Johns wife was great, but just a terrible hazy ending.

Free? He was disowned. He’s no longer a Peaky Blinder.

And that’s the same Alphie we’ve always seen. He’s a dead man. Just as Tommy was.

Tommy is a man with nothing left to lose now, the most dangerous sort of man.

This season was setting up the movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Although I’d love to read the script before Helen McCrory died and they had to write her character out

Why don’t they keep making seasons? I mean I know they said they were gonna stop but I’d like to see how it goes through world war 2 and maybe even have his bastard son take over

I found episode 1, 5 and 6 to be good.2,3,4 were crap.

I liked the ending. I didn’t want tommy and Arthur to die though. I feel like it was setup to lead into a movie, it definitely wasn’t a “final” ending. It ended more like there was another season or something coming

I kind of figured all along that he wasn't going to die but the ending left a lot of questions.

What did he whisper in Duke's ear before he left?
Did he give all of the info on Mosely to Churchill?
Does he go back to Lizzie and his son?

frickin terrible

Right out the gate they put Michael in jail and turn Arthur into a useless mumbling dope fiend...

Which of course opens the door for 6 hours of 'strong, powerful women dominating the screen'

I'm halfway through the season, and it is making me depressed.

I want to club Gina over the head with a mallet. Diana Mitford has taken the place of Skyler White as worst character ever.

They’ll be a movie.

Or another season.

It doesn’t ‘end’. There’s no ending.

There’s more to come.

They did. Or at least one more season and a feature film.

Covid killed those plans. Now Steven Knight is just going to wrap it up with the feature film, which he says was always the intent.

The whole saga will supposedly end with the first air raid sirens over Birmingham in 1939.

Just finished. Eps 1-5 were a slog but I thought ep 6 and the ending were great. I really thought Tommy was going to kill himself and thag he had once he saw Ruby and I would have been satisfied with that ending, but the twist threw me I didn’t see that coming and thought it was great. Had no idea they were planning a movie, I guess that’s why they left a few things open

Finished last night. I enjoyed it but agree that this season was not one of my favorites.

You could tell the death of Helen right before they started filming affected the storyline. Polly was a great character and you could feel her absence.

How many times are we going to see Arthur lose his way due to drink or drugs but somehow make a come back? I found that tiresome.

Ada was awesome this season. She always answers the call of the family when they need her. She is no Polly but she can handle herself.

Same with Tommy. Seems like every season he is working is arse off on some scheme, his family is pissed at him for not doing what they want him to do. When his scheme is about to take off the family remembers he is the bad arse and they fall in line.

The Mosely and Diana characters are disgusting and you hate them more each time you see them. Every Government who allowed them to carry on with their agenda has blood on their hands. United States included. We all know what is coming and its terrifying how the powers that be allowed it to happen.

Michael got what was coming to him. That was very satisfying.

The Finn situation took me by surprise but I liked it. He was never really team Shelby.
