The dude who drinks motor oil before his match is still the GOAT. Even though they show him drinking an Alka-Seltzer later.

Indubitably. What a shitty example he's setting for that young man.

His kid bothered me. Didn't understand how such a badass trucker dude could have a metro son before metro was a thing.

Kid didn't see his father for 10 years, and was a trust fund baby.

He wouldn't have made it out of the 1st round, too small.

I have bigger issues with him teaching his son to gamble, giving his son his first driving lesson in a big rig on a two lane highway, and when the time comes to "save" his son from Robert Loggia ("R" as in "Robert Loggia".....), he does so by driving his truck through the fricking front door of the house in which the whiny little shite was living.

Hawk uses a technique against his opponents where he repositions his fingers around the other guy’s thumb. Absolutely illegal and bush league.

These are all very valid points as well.

And another thing, he signed away his parental rights when he was in jail. So Michael deciding to want to be with his father after the fact is irrelevant. That is a major hole in this story.

Honestly though, his son was a megabitch and teaching him to commit cool crimes is an upgrade.
