One Piece: Enjoyed the Netflix show, is the anime similar/worth watching?

The animation doesn't really appeal to me so I was hesitant to even bother with the live action.

If you're into that world, and all, I bet it's worth it.

It's a marathon worth of source material though. Just take that into consideration before diving in.

I never watched the episodes but have watched the fights and they have plenty in this series.

any interest i ever had always completely vanished after seeing episode counts for the damn thing.

Yep, same here. I did enjoy the live action season. Looking forward to more.

It’s one of my favorite anime. It’s certainly a big undertaking to get caught up.

If you are familiar with using torrents you can download one pace which is an edited version that cuts out filler episodes/scenes and saves you about 450 episodes worth of time. Still leaves nearly 700 episodes just to get caught up and there is still likely 5+ years remaining before it’s completed.
