guy that plays Gregory might be the worst actor in the history of the show.

And that's saying a lot.

The artistic elements are really awful. Like Jericho level bad.

The show really isn't entertaining me anymore. It is mostly filler; feels like they just drag things out to fill more time slots. I think I am done with it. Just don't care enough what happens and there are too many other shows in the queue.

My complaint is that all the threats have already taken place. The zombies are more of an inconvenience that a threat.

The show has basically become all about who dies next.

With Glenn dying, there really is no death that would out-shock it other than Rick.

zombies are more than an incovenience
they are the reason society has collapsed, can't be rebuilt, supplies are dwindling, etc
things weren't very exciting in pre industrial human history
it's a tough show to pull off to keep it compelling

to me I think that after the negan thing is resolved one way or another they should reboot it with new locations and characters

They did that. It's called Fear the Walking Dead.

Anybody else find it unbelievable that not one of these groups has started growing pot yet?

There was a grow room at the Savior's outpost that Rick's crew attacked.

what I meant was take it national
there's "alexandrias" all over the place
let's go there

jump five years or so
show slow progress of reindustrialization
show rebuilding of knowledge and communication transfer
show re establishment of centralized and reorganized community affairs
show science and technology improvements

they have a whole world to rebuild and I think that would be fascinating

If it is who I think it is, they might just save the season.

Yeah, that would change up the storyline a ton. We should bump the spoilers thread and talk about it.

Honestly, they need to show something like the rediscovery/re-establishment of refining. Cars still running on varnish is a sticking point for me. In reality, nobody is driving anything at this point except maybe diesels unless you have someone producing ethanol, which is actually doable. Have Eugene figure out how to make ethanol or biodiesel. It can just be something he's working on as other things are happening.

Unfortunately, disregarding the whole gas goes bad thing has painted the show into a corner.

Yeah, that line used makes it seem like it has to be them, but I think they're just fricking with the comic readers. I did go back and rewatch the upcoming scene with fatty Tara running across the bridge. I put that shite on 0.25 speed and watched it several times to see if anything stood out, but not much.

My guess if they want to tease them they'll just have some random hiding and hear talking

exactly
we need to see what the chemists/engineers/scientists are up to
Watching helpless people learn skills is tiresome
I want to see some reapplication of existing skills and some innovation
