I can honestly say that just about everyone on this show is batshit crazy, besides maybe the musician guy and the Asian chick he's hooking up with.
Some good moments between red and the Ex-Convict at the end of the episode though.

I wasn't too impressed with the first episode, but they had so much to cover in two hours.
The live feeds have been money. Every single one of the Utopians is batshit crazy.

Is this gonna be something I'm gonna need to be watching other shite to follow along or enjoy? Because I'm not down for that. I'll check out the show once a week for an hour or so, but I'm not gonna be watching these idiots all week long just to be able to follow along with what's going on.

They skipped A LOT in the show last night. Hopefully they won't skip as much in future episodes.

They skipped a lot of what I thought would be in the show. They moved in on August 29, so they had a week's worth of material to shove into one show. Once they catch up to the present, it should be fine.
And, yes and no. It's like BB in that it supposed to be a social experiment, but it's nothing like it in execution. Here, they just threw 14 random people into a gated in habitat and told them to make the best of it. There don't appear to be any competitions or prizes, just survive.
The people are grade-A whackos, though. I hope the voting gets some more normal people in there.

They have to create their own civilization. They start only with a few dollars to get started. All the Utopia pioneers have to vote each month on their unpopular Utopia pioneer. The pioneer with the most votes has to leave Utopia.
For each pioneer that had to leave, a new one can get into the new civilization. Each pioneer has to pay a guarantee to get in this reality show.
