Rick wants peace? The new enemies disregard rules and morals?
Neither one of those should be happening right now with the way this season has been portrayed. It's like the writers expect us to ignore everything we have learned following this tv show.

That's the point. It only just recently changed. Rick just got done saying they had to eliminate any threats because it came back to bite them in the arse.

That Rick has done way more horrible things and is willing to go further than her to protect those with him. If you can't gather that then you haven't been watching the show.
