If Clay is telling house to evict him, And the target is Shelli, (according to James) James needs use POV on Clay and nominate someone who insure Shelli goes home.

This was my initial thought, as well, but you can't risk shelli and clay staying after this week. Clay has proven that he is going to be Shelli's shield this season, so if they can't get her out they need to get her protector out. Also, James would have to piss someone else off and put them up.
I don't like Shelli, but I respect her game. Besides the initial shock, she has handled herself pretty well while being on the block. She is level headed, she has talked Clay out of doing several stupid things. I can't say the same for Clay.

Imo, you have to put Van up. She gets the votes and Shelli goes home. You use that to pull Clay to your side

I don't care for Shelli, but I admire how well she is handling things, and how well she is doing the punishment. She hasn't complained and has kept a smile on her face through most of it.

Liz "Ewwwww..."
Austin.. "I didn't!"
Liz (laughing) "Eww... it smells! (laughing) It smells like a slop fart!"
Austin "I don't even smell anything!"
Liz "I smell it... it's coming from over there Austin"
Austin "No it's not!"
Liz "Kay, fine.. whatever.. slop farts"
Austin "Goodness. Did you move your head thing away from me?"
Liz "Nooo... but now it smells bad over there!"
Liz settles down, Austin is hovering waiting to find out how he's going to get close to her, put his arm around her. He gets his arm over her waist..
Liz "Ok, the problem is sometimes I like to put the pillows over hereee" (points to Austin's arm area)
Austin "well then you can just move me out of the way. Where are you starting?" (position wise) (this guy doesn't get a clue!)
Liz (settling down) "OMG it Smelllssss... I'm not even kidding Austin."
Austin "It's not me!... is there something in here?" (yeah there is..- it's YOU AUSTIN!)
Liz moans "EEWWwwwuwhh! It smells so FOUUwull...how can you not smell it!"
Austin "It's not from me!"
Liz "It smells like an egg-uh! (laughs)"
Austin "I know!" (now he's pretending to smell it)
Liz "Julia.. come here and smell it .. it smells so bad!"
Austin "oh, that *IS* bad. Jeez" (does he know if he continues not to smell it it must be him?)
Julia "I don't smell egg over here"
Austin sniffs his pillow
Liz "it really smells rotten" (in scottish accent)
Austin "oh jeez"
Austin lays back in his dentist chair defeatedly. "Oh man." He contemplates cuddling liz a few times, moving his arm toward her.. laying back.
a few seconds later he makes his move, gets close to her and puts his arm over her again.
Liz sits up "Ewww.. it smells again, oh my godduh!"
Austin "where's it coming from?"
Liz "I don't know.. it smells rotten. Like a rotten arse egg-uh!"
