Yep. Vanessa, Shelli, and Clay are there to win the game; while (like you've stated) Jason, James, Meg, and Jackie are there for a vacation.

They have no game plan, the other side the house was smart to take out Jason because now they can just steam roll Jackie Meg and James.
Steve, JMac, and Becky need to figure something out fast, and I honestly think John is starting to play the game and figure shite out. Hopefully steve grows a penis and starts making moves.

What was up with Steve talking about how much he hated Becky and how he loved seeing her up on the block? He seemed pretty angry about something I must have missed. Jason needs to quickly tell Steve and John that their only shot is to keep him and form an alliance on their own. If the other side fails to get Jason and Austin out, the sparks will really start to fly.

It happens every year. someone thats in an alliance thats not really in the know thinks they know exactly whats going to happen so they try to give a good sound bite. Thats what I took it as.
