Deadpool earned $47.5 million yesterday. It is blowing its projected numbers away.

It is currently beating out Guardians of the Galaxy and CA: Winter Soldier.

This is amazing.

In all honesty...would you bring your 14 y/o son to see this movie?

For point of reference, has seen:

Die Hard
Replacement Killers
Blues Brothers
Predator
T2
Aliens
Airplane

TIA

I'm going to go with "no". Combine Wolf of Wall Street with Kick-arse and Bad Santa. If Kick-arse was the adult version of a superhero movie, Deadpool would be the adult version of Kick-arse.

At least you have the wisdom to ask. Last night the wife and I watched as two different people brought kids (one brought a son, the other a daughter) that were at least under 10 years old to the theater and they stayed for the whole movie.

These sterling examples of parenthood will be the same ones to wonder where they went wrong when little Suzie is pregnant at 14 and little Tommy is sucking dick for drug money. Hint: it's things like taking your single-digit-aged child to a movie that is just a smidge under NC17.

To those people:

I pretty much skipped kids shows and went straight from Barney and Sesame Street to Starship Troopers, Mortal Kombat, the Simpsons, Saturday Night Live, Austin Powers, That 70's Show, ect. It took a really embarrassingly log time, in retrospect, to figure out what was going on "in the circle". I thought they were just always dumbasses for no reason, haha.

non-mega-fanboy opinion for you:

No. definitely not. the entire point is that the humor is ridiculous and cringeworthy. I laughed maybe 3 or 4 times (at solid jokes, points given..) but the theater around us was literally crying the entire time. Sheltered PC folks I assume who giggle when they hear "frick!"

Much better. I agree with you that a lot of the jokes shown in trailers were lame, but It's a pretty entertaining film. If you go in not expecting a masterpiece, I think you'll enjoy it.

He's about to be in highscool. Rated R movies should be the least of your concerns.
