I think it's one of those weird films where you either love it or hate it

It's Tom Ford yes that Tom Ford, the designer... Not Lynch. Ford is actually one of the better directors around and he's only made a couple of movies.

I have no idea if he had any filmmaking experience prior to A Single Man, but one thing is for certain... His movies are going to be visually stunning to look at. That skill has certainly translated.

I really want to see Nocturnal Animals

So how do we know if he's one of the better ones around when he's only directed TWO movies ever

But this does look like it could be a good movie

Is it along the lines of a Fincher-esque triller? If so then I may have to check it out

I was just saying having 1 movie in 2009 and one that just came out this week isn't a big work sample to judge off of. He may very well be one of the best going, and if so then I hope he starts to make more

sometimes you can just tell..even that quickly...Villanueve is kind of the same way... I saw Prisoners and Sicario...enough for me...I'll see anything dude directs from now on. At least both those guys are making interesting, original, visually striking movies. I'm just thankful films like this are still being made.

Just saw it. Excellent movie.

Opening credits definitely had me laughing and saying wtf are we getting into???? But it really is a solid movie.

**SPOILERS**

The kids was Edward's (Gyllenhaal's), right? Had to have been. Wish they could have delved into their post-breakup relationship a bit more.

If you liked Mulholland drive, you'll probably like this movie.

I didn't think it was that good and they definitely didn't advertise this kind of movie

Very good movie. It's a "correlationship" story within a story. You get to know Edwards feelings and emotions without really meeting present-day Edward.
The villain should get an award, as well as the Michael Shannon.
