No hype for "Baskets", Thursdays on FX?

Haven't seen the show discussed on this board lately, but season 2 is off to a great start.

The plot is much tighter so far compared to season one but the characters, acting and dialogue have always been superb.

Zach Galifianakis is great as Chip and Dale and Louie Anderson's acting is top notch. But my personal favorite might be Martha. Just what Martha says and how she delivers her lines cracks me up.

On the DVR, but haven't watched it yet.

Loved the first season. Such a different, quirky show.

Season premiere was perfect. Nice to see Chip as the "adult" in that new environment.

Is there anyway to watch the first season online?

Love Baskets. Been looking forward to this season for a while and it has delivered so far.

Love it.

Louie Anderson won an Emmy for best supporting actor (or was it actress?) in a Comedy for his role as Christine Baskets. Well deserved.

FX has an FXNow channel on Roku. Might be able to watch season 1 on there if you have cable/satellite subscription.

If you told me I'd get choked up seeing Louie Anderson in drag, in a bathing suit, doing water-aerobics in the moonlit surf...

And how she delivers that line too

Big fan.

Favorite line is from S1 when Chip is being consoled by the hooker.

Hooker: That's ok Chip, my parents didn't like me either.
Chip: On account of you being a whore?

Dale and Martha walking out of the movies...

Martha: You sure talk a lot during the movie.
Dale: I do do that. (Tosses a gigantic empty drink cup no where close to the trash can.)

I've had a pretty big crush on Sabina Sciubba (Penelope) for a while.

I'm a huge fan of her band. Brazilian Girls

Again... if you're not watching...

Louie Anderson on that friend date with a black Democrat at the Reagan Library...

Love the episodes where they just turn Louie loose like that.

Louie should win again for that episode alone. I don't know how they knew (did they?) that Louie was this good of an actor but wow.

I just started watching Season 1 last night. This show is Hilarious. What a great combination of physical humor with amazing dialog.

I have to agree that Martha's deliver steals the show. Frickin hilarious.

They've said that when they came up with the character, the closest description that they could come up with was Louie Anderson's mother from his stand-up. Then they came up with the idea of just asking Louie if he'd consider working in drag, instead of finding a woman who could act like Louie Anderson.

Dale got kicked out of his own college!

He seems to be the screwup this season. Chip actually has his act together since being arrested. Except for letting his grandma die at the casino instead of taking her to the doctor.

Next season needs more Penelope, though.
