I like the look. Is this going to be a TV series like the first one, or a movie?

I was a little dubious about them switching the time periods from the 50s & 80s to the 80s & present day. I'm starting to think that this will be a good thing though. I am actually excited about this.

God I hope this starts a wave of King adaptations done right with solid budgets.

So far this movie looks very promising.

We all float down here.......

Didn't they scrap the adult storyline for this film? Just sticking with kids?

The Stand as a trilogy and Salem's Lot.

Though to be honest, The Stand would work better as a high budget HBO miniseries than a movie, IMHO. There's too much to cover to do it justice in movie setting.

Smart to ride the Stranger Things wave.

I think the studio scrapped the two movies plan. That's one of the reasons Cary Fukunaga backed out of directing.

I believe it's still set up as a 2 movie deal. The first will be them facing It as kids and the second will pick up where Mike calls them all back as adults.

Tim Curry was one of the only bright spots in that trainwreck of a TV series.

Stephen King is too psychological to be properly adapted to film, IMO.

For the most part I agree with you.

Pet Semetary was done well. The shining, misery, were done well enough.

It's definitely hit or miss.

And I'm very scared about the dark tower

Kubrick's The Shining is great but it's almost a different version than what King's novel is. Both are great in their own right, but IMO, the scariest parts of the book were left out of Kubrick's movie.
