I want to see more of the expanded universe covered. I want films to break new ground, not retrace old paths. We already know everything we need to know about Yoda, Han, and Boba Fett. We don't need extra movies about them. I'd like to see movies centered around Knights of the Old Republic or the first Sith. I was fine with episode 8 because it was showing what happened after ROJ.
I really didn't want Rogue One to get made, but I have to admit, despite its relatively weak characters (and killing Forest Whitaker for literally no reason), it was a really outstanding war movie. I think most people were really skeptical of new Star Wars movies, but if they all at least approach the level of quality in Rogue One, you won't hear many complaints from me.

I get that. But I also understand Disney wants to make money and aims for the widest audiences possible. I do think these stories could be covered in their animated shows though. I doubt you ever see a feature dealing with KotOR but wouldnt rule out them doing it in some other way.

In the old EU Han was an Imperial TIE fighter pilot. I believe it was on one of his first missions he was sent to help enslave the wookies and rescued Chewie from his senior officer after that he went AWOL and became the smuggler. I actually quite liked that backstory but under the new canon he has been a smuggler/thief since he was born and was never an Imperial officer. I don't think they've mentioned how he and Chewie came to meet though, guess they were saving that for this movie.
