This issue is why I'm kind of excited about the possibility of a Damage Control sitcom.

I love Damage Control. Just a brilliant concept, and really funny. I'd be all in for a DC TV show.

I do like how they are tying the Civil War into the destruction pron of the earlier movies. It's a different motivation than the comics (which wouldn't make sense in the MCU, as most characters don't have a secret identity). We'll lose the iconic moment of the comics, Spidey publicly removing his mask, but that's fine. This is a good way to put into the MCU context, and also shows why anyone would ever NOT side with Captain America. I mean, talk about your no brainers, but the Winter Soldier will sow the seeds of doubt in his judgment.

My big worry is how crowded the movie is. Hopefully, it has room to breathe.

That's perfectly acceptable in the Marvel world

The truly iconic moment in Civil War is Steve Rogers bleeding out on the steps of the courthouse.

Naaa. It's Spidey, and I'm a Cap fan. Peter Parker was the most secretive hero in all of Marvel at that point. He kept his lives separate. No one in the public really knew who Spider-Man was, still. People knew Banner, Stark, Rogers, etc. Even the X-Men did not hide their identity. Peter HAD to, and he was successful in the 616.

The unmasking was huge.

I'm avoiding the trailer until tonight (hard as that may be).

But Is it possible that Spidey is still a rookie? Doesn't really have the resources for a nice suit and the whole undie thing is ok? Maybe I'm wrong depending on how they are playing it.

They didn't even scratch the surface.

If you want to go into full detail, there's a lot more than just three:

-Los Angeles gets torn up during the fight between Iron Man and Iron Monger (Iron Man)

-Harlem gets torn up during the Hulk/Abomination fight (The Incredible Hulk)

-Monaco is attacked during the Iron Man/Whiplash fight (Iron Man 2)

-Unnamed small town in New Mexico by the Destroyer (Thor)

-Stuttgart is attacked by Loki (The Avengers)

-Battle of New York (The Avengers)

-Extremis attack on the Mannheim Chinese Theater (Iron Man 3)

-London is basically torn apart by Malekith during the attempted invasion across the realms (Thor: The Dark World)

-Washington D.C. torn up during the Helicarrier destruction (Captain America: The Winter Soldier)

-Hulk rampaging through Johannesburg, South Africa (Age of Ultron)

-Seoul, South Korea torn up by Ultron (Age of Ultron)

-Sokovia's destruction (Age of Ultron)

-Pym Tech and the fight across San Francisco between Ant-Man and Yellow Jacket (Ant-Man)

Why don't Bruce Banner or Thor have any interest in this conflict? I mean Avengers are killing each other.

Thor is investigating why the Infinity Stones are in play...and supposedly Hulk is with him.

I like the darker tone of the film. Black Panther looks awesome and looking forward to Ant-Man as well. I don't get the hate for the Spidey suit though. It seems as though the plot is exactly the same as BvS...only in the Marvel Universe.

The high point of that trailer is Cap repeating that Joe Johnston line from First Avenger.

Banner is in hiding again. Did you see the end of Ultron? He just wants to be alone.

Thor - I got nothing. No clue where he is.
