Any of you watched this? I think it was amazing. The writers did a very good job of keeping it comical but not in a way that's disrespectful to autism.

That main character played the role, from what I can only assume, perfectly.

It's only its first season but I recommend for a good watch.

The main character is high functioning enough that they are able to keep it pretty light. It's a decent family sitcom. The sister and her boyfriend were a funny pairing with good chemistry.

Agreed, the sister and boyfriend were a good pairing. It was hard for me to look at him playing that role versus his role on Quantico though. The age factor threw me off a little bit. I know he's older than Casey in the show, but I still see him as a much older guy trying to get into the FBI or whatever that show was for haha.

I enjoyed watching Sam's and the father's relationship improve over the course of the season.

I could talk about a lot more if other posts discuss it, and if so I'll put spoilers in the title.

I watched the whole series. I can tell you they have the kid down. The sister is a real trip.

Very much enjoyed it and look forward to season 2.

Just finished it a few days ago....enjoyed it as well. Liked all the characters other than the whoring mom... Jennifer Jason Leigh has not aged well.

I'm liking it, though it kinda worries me how much I resemble the main character.

I enjoyed it. Very awkward. Hope it works out with Paige. She's got the patience of a saint. A little kooky though.

My wife and I watched the whole season. It's a pretty good show. Michael Rappaport makes a good tv dad.

I like the relationship between the sister and Sam being how she can act and be a bully/bitch to him, but it doesn't effect him at all. the girlfriend, Paige, is very likable. What she does for the dance is amazing.

I like the short 30 minute Netflix series
Don't have to ignore the family the entire weekend

I thought it was spot on.
The dynamics between the siblings and the strain it puts on family is spot on for those with special needs children.

The therapist and his crush on her was just weird though. They have a lot of therapists and that is not close to real world.

I thought this show was GREAT. I kicked on an episode yesterday evening and binged it all last night and today.

They did a really good job portraying the character with autism as well as the challenges and joys of the people directly affected by him.

I'm very much anticipating more seasons to come.

Watched the first two episodes. Going to be hard for me to go back. There are definitely some funny moments so it wasn't all bad. Trudging through the mess to get them wasn't worth it for me. I was begging for episode 2 to end.

The main character reminds me of Sheldon from Big Bang. It probably isn't easy to make autism funny and this is the easiest route to go.

The acting, especially by the mother, takes me right out of the show. Just about every character has those moments where it looks like a bad take was left in the final cut.

The storyline with the mom and bartender is terrible.

I urge to watch one more ep. Agreed the mom and bartender is lame and it actually pissed me off. Not sure the writers had much to come up with regarding her character. Seems like in all shows when the mom feels no longer needed she goes off the deep end to find attention.

All the other characters develop very well though. The main character does a great job imo. If after ep 3 you can't take it then it's just not for you. Not all shows for everyone. I can't seem to get into Black Mirror even tho this board is obsessed haha. Not hating. Just can't get into it.
