MTVB thoughts on Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk.

IMO it was just a hot mess. I know the book is a pretty anti-American, but I thought it would be interesting with Ang Lee directing and Vin Diesel in it, but man it was a long watch and not really sucking you in. The story lines just seemed fake and out of touch with reality and how things would play out in this environment.

I was expecting a little more Generation Kill I guess.

Kristin Stewart really does suck as an actress as well. Steve Martin was atrocious and Chris Tucker playing an agent was horrible.

Frick Hollywood and their inability to make good war movies now.
