The jail/ward theory has some legs. I didn't think about it until reading this thread. Same "loop" pattern every day. Eating with the same random black guy every day, the basketball games every day, the church group.

When he was working at his job, some of its real and some is in his head.
If he got arrest for the murder or hack and is in jail, some of it is real and some is in head.

completely agree. I also like your theory on why. Wasn't the last song we heard in season 1 The Pixies "Where is my Mind" cover on piano? If so, and if your theory is correct, that makes using that song in that moment even more appropriate.

I didn't get to watch it until last night. Gideon dying was really crappy, but I get why it had to happen.
The biggest question I have right now is with Angela. I feel like one of two things is happening with her. Either she still hates ECorp and wants to rise up within the company to make changes from within, or she has decided to work for ECorp for real because she feels valued and her millennial "I'm great and deserve this" is taking over. I think either way she turns on Elliot in the end. Angela will become the antagonist in the show at some point.
