for no apparent reason.

Watching Major League, and the worst part about the movie is the forced romance between Tom Berenger and Rene Russo.

The other movie that comes to mind is the Great Outdoors with the forced romance between John Candy's son and some local trailer trash.

Nobody cares. Why do they try and do this?

You know that trashy chick in the Great Outdoors sucked a mean dick though.

The Breakup, from 2007, starring Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston. The couple had no chemistry together whatsoever, and the movie was BO-RING!

The Hobbit. Elf sees a dwarf and instantly falls in love for zero reason. Epitome of shoe horned plot.

That's a bad one. Also all the love stories in every Transformers movie. Actually everything he humans do sucks in those movies.

Matthew MacConaughy and Reese Witherspoon in Mud. She honestly could've been left out of the movie completely.

I just re-watched Robin Hood with Costner.

I'm sorry but that romance with Maid Marian sucks balls. It is terrible, forced and not very romantic.

And no Bryan Adams song can save it. It's not even needed for the story.

Don't Robin Hood and Maid Marian always fall in love in every Robin Hood story?

I was on a date and my girl wanted to see the Breakup thinking it was a rom com so i took her. It was so god damn uncomfortable to sit through.

i actually get more pissed off when a comedy shoves a moral to the story down our throats rather than finishing a story.

I'll always remember one critic saying something along the lines of, "the Japanese launched a surprise attack on a love triangle."

You're describing pretty much every movie ever made in America. You double your audience with the female love interest story line.

The Perfect Storm was ruined by the opening 30 minutes about their wives and girlfriends. Just get on the fricking boat already!

Their relationship was the basis for the entire movie. It is why Matthew is a fugitive and hiding on the island. It is why he must leave. Moreover, the theme of relationships and how they do not work out, and how you must deal with the aftermath of those relationships, are a central tenant of the story.

Ellis has a troubled home life and his parents are divorcing, formally destroying his idealistic thoughts on love and relationships. He hopes and thinks that Mud and Juniper are the embodiment of true love that will last and that his innocent idea of true love is still real and can be found and seen in the two of them. He needs to see that it is still possible. Coming to terms with the reality of life, and the toll that it and the decisions we make in relationships have on us, is further embodied in the story of Mud and Juniper.

Neil McCauley(Deniro) in Heat. That was one that always bothered me.

The Force awaken. I see the feel of SJW and PC all over that even Han solo and Leia did not have chemistry until Empire.

It really irked me that they had to shove the Poe/Finn romance down our throats too.
