Movies that give you that false sense of badassness.

I was watching Taken tonight when my son called and said a truck was following him home. Good thing the guy turned around and left, because I was about to show somebody my lack of a particular set of skills. He better be glad I wasn't watching kick boxer.

Mobster movies.
They make me think that old out of shape alcoholic chain smokers can frick people up without getting their suits dirty.

When I saw the thread title, Taken was the first thing that I thought of.
Another one is Bloodsport. That movie had me doing all kinds of fake air kung fu when I saw it as a kid.

I walked out of the theater after 300 and really wanted to kick some a-hole in the fricking chest.
Rocky 4 is another one.

Anything Chuck Norris was in always got me pumped up. I'm pretty sure he could do a fibercon commercial and I'd want to whip someone's arse.

Pretty sure Bloodsport just made me want to make my pecs bounce as a kid. Chong Li is one of the awesomest villains ever!

and to actually answer the question, The Replacements. Pain heals. Chicks dig scars. Glory... lasts forever.

I went to Vegas a few months after watching Ryan Gosling spit mad game in Crazy, Stupid, Love. The shite he does actually works. I was telling girls to interest me, and interrupting them to tell them they were boring me.
So that movie gave me a false sense of badassery that ended up working.

I remember when my ex and I went to see Taken in theaters. There was a few kids sitting in front of us and after the movie ended, a boy on the end grabbed his girl's hand and held her behind as the friends left. He turned her around and said, "If that ever happened to you, I would come for you."
I bust out laughing and the poor kid just took her by the hand and rushed out.
