I had never heard of this but had the chance to see it last week. I really liked it (and almost all of these movies that question the very concept of humanity a la Ex Machina, The Prestige).
What did anyone here who saw it think?

Loved it. We need more sci fi.

I thought it was really solid. Not some mind-blowing awesome movie, but more than enjoyable. Rockwell is solid in it, as usual. And the plot is interesting and sort of a twist on similar movies like it in the past.
Really good. I'd give it about an 8/10, if not a little higher.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. It felt so different than most of the scfi movies we get nowadays.

I've made it no secret, I think this is one of the best films in the last 20 - 25 years.
Rockwell and Spacey were fantastic.

That is a bold statement but it is a fantastic movie. I saw that it's on Prime streaming. I may watch it again tonight.

The clones and whether the "real" Jackman or the "new" one will drown to death on a given night when he performs his stunt- the point being both are simultaneously the "real" and neither are actually the real, original Jackman.
Like if you experience death, but an exact replicant of your person exists down to the atoms of your mass and the chemistry of your brain and they go on to survive, are you dead, alive, neither, or both?
Basically, even though he feels the same, looks the same, and has all the same memories, you have to question the status of Jackman's character's humanity by the end of the film.

That's funny. I got a Blade Runner vibe from watching the Prestige, basically do Clone Lives Matter?

I thought Rockwell got snubbed by The Academy.

Always loved the genre, but it's such a dearth historically.

Top 10 for sure. Gives hope for the future of the genre.
Also check out Source Code, which I think is ultimately superior.

Moon has the Clint Mansell tiebreaker.
Moon was made with $5million.
Love Source Code too though.

It's an excellent movie. It's a shame that Sam Rockwell's career is in the shitter.

You've been on a roll with me since you (I think it was you) heartily recommended About Time.
