All Fox cares about is Wolverine, Wolverine, Wolverine.

They cram a totally unnecessary Weapon X scene in Apocalypse but cut the mall scene that would have gone a long way to give the movie the 80s feel it should but inexplicably did not have.

That was a definite homage to the cartoon with Jubilee in the arcade.

Also, solid reference: "At least we can all agree the 3rd one is always the worst."

You base your entire feelings of Cyclops on a cartoon and movies that strayed about as far as you can from the source material.

i read the comic books in the 90's you dork. i was there when he was in charge of the blue team... being a dick and turning down Betsy's advances.

Aww...so you identified with Betsy and felt like Scott had rejected you as well? That's so sad. I can see why you dislike him as you do...you know, like you're a woman scorned.

X-Men #211 is one of the best comics of all time.

Colossus murdering Riptide is one of the most shocking moments in Marvel. Heroes don't murder people, especially the gentle giant that is Collosus. It really amped the stakes and showed the psychic toll the Marauders took. He betrayed his core principles in order to get revenge.

See, y'all? THAT'S how you go dark. By making it tragic not awesome. Which is always why Cyclops is such a great character. He's a guy who full of unbridled rage who is constantly forced to stay under control. He both needs and resents the X-Men.

And Mister-Knives-for-Knuckles loses his shite at the drop of a hat and becomes the fan favorite. Go figure.

Mr Knives for knuckles didn't get insecure and go apeshit and lead a battle against the avengers that killed his mentor by his own hands.

Cyclops himself said Logan was the better man.

Prepare for the downvotes. A lot posters hated on me for saying this when the movie came out.

Singer had to get his wolverine porn in.

Wow, you take your comic book opinions really personally.

Haha. No, not really. I just thought it was a good setup for a zinger, so I delivered it. But you must admit the "Betsy" part of his argument is a bit on the silly side.

And way to come to the defense of your A&M brethren...

You're telling me you'd take jean grey in this scenario?

that's gonna suck. Sorry, but if Jackman is only doing one more film as Wolverine and they don't do Old Man Logan or some other "aging Wolverine with one last quest before he can be at peace" its a fricking waste.

To be fair, there was an extended period where he IS the most important X-Man. By far.

Yeah you read him during arguably his worst period, because....90s. I grew up in the 90s too, but Scott's Blue team was not that interesting. Before that with his X-Factor Stint and Dark Phoenix/Days of Future Past and then after with New X-Men and Beyond, that's where Scott shines.

So this is understandable, but you should give him a shot.

There's no reason they can't find another actor with some gravitas to play Old Man Logan. Idris Elba could be perfect for the part.

I street what you did there.

ETA: I would love an old man Logan movie with Jackman, Renner, and Ruffalo.

I'm pretty sure Will Smith is older than Elba.

Rogue was my favorite Saturday morning x-men but then again I liked gambit too.

I liked wolverine more than cyclops but I remember a time when cyclops was a badass that kept wolverine in check, not a pansy like in x-men 2-3.
