It looks pretty good. Steampunk mutants + Tim Burton + Tits McGee as Professor X = I'm on board.

Has anyone read the book? I think I'd like to before I see this one.

I read the book 2-3 years ago, but haven't read the sequel yet.

Loved the book. Really looking forward to the movie.

Didn't know there was a sequel. I'll check it out.

It's actually up to a trilogy now, third one came out at the end of last year.

Tim Burton loves him some Eva Green... and that's a fantastic combo to me, too.

Will definitely watch.

It's been awhile since I read it too, but it seems the movie is going a different direction than the books did. IIRC the books were about an adult looking for information about his dad's past (similar to Big Fish or that's how I remember feeling about it at the time). This looks like it might shown from his dad's point of view.

I don't know how I feel about that, but since I can't really remember the book that well it probably won't matter.

That looks pretty good.

I wonder what roles Johnny Depp and Helen Bonham Carter will play?

I caught this on HBO last night. A damned good movie with the typical Burton weirdness, but a great story. Of course, all I could think about was Eva Green's tits.

That said, the trailer could definitely mislead some parents into taking younger kids to see what was a very harrowing film (which would be damned scary to young children).

Highly recommend.

Watched it with the kids last night...fortunately, they are old enough to handle it...but it was scarier than what I expected. It was a very good movie and I would recommend it as well.

Just finished watching this and it was great. It should have been more popular. Samuel L Jackson was so creepy with the white eyes and dagger teeth.

Book was fantastic. Read it several years ago in college and was excited when I heard they were making a movie w Burton at the helm.

I liked the movie as well, but the book was better (which is almost impossible for almost every film to top, I know).

I haven't read the sequel yet, but will soon hopefully.

I enjoyed the book series. However, it looks like they are including some children at the school the show up later in the book. Not sure how many other liberties they take in the movie.

never read the book, but really liked the movie. the wife has read all the books and felt the movie was not as good as the book, but enjoyed the film as well.
