If you bring in Smith and Bay, that alone gives the movie a tent pole budget

And I don't see BB3 bringing in tent pole revenue

Bad Boys II is on that elusive list of sequels better than the original.

BB2 is an awesome movie

No way. The majority of Bay's go-to audience won't be able to see an R-rated film.

They could get Peter Berg, who is literally a Michael Bay clone for big budget films, and it would be the exact same for less money.
