Magnum was awesome, but Jim Rockford was the better PI hands down. The dude could put on a pair of glasses, print a business card, and find out anything he needed to know. He also had few resources and was never getting paid for his work.

This is the first series that I remember seeing the premiere of when it aired. The ferrari was beyond cool to me.

Still can't understand why he decided to reup at the end of the series. Seems like he had it made in the shade and decided to go live on a ship again.

Because he wanted to be a responsible father to his daughter...and you can't be shacking with skanks and living on a rich guys pad and do that.

His break from reality was over. Time to get back in the big game.

I was watching it on either Netflix or Amazon a year or so ago, but some of the episodes were missing on instant.

Fantastic show, at the time and now. Worked at many different levels.
The 4th wall aspect was great fun.

Question- did we ever decide if Higgins was Robin Masters?

It was strongly hinted at, but I think it was left for the audience to make their own choice. I like to think that he was.

He admitted it in the last episode. Then, he told Magnum he lied.

I'm of the opinion he wasn't since Magnum repeatedly runs into people that know Robin personally, and Higgins isn't him.

Of course, they could all be paid to say that, but why?
