Recently I came across Dan Carlin's Hardcore History blog and he's got a 5 part series on WWI that's terrific. Something like 15 hours. Highly recommended for anyone interested at all in WW1:

Blueprint for Armagedon

I'm listening to BFA for be second time (first was when they were coming out) just in order to completely soak up all the information.

Carlin truly drives home the horror and maddening triviality of World War I and the fact that millions of lives were spent meaninglessly by inept generals disconnected from the reality of the front and obsessed with the old outdated notions of "glory."

When you're done with BFA, I highly suggest buying the Hardcore History series on the Eastern Front in World War II called Ghosts of the Ostfront. It's a shame how the Cold War and American myopia has made a great portion of our citizenry completely oblivious to the enormous part the Soviet Union played in winning the war in the ETO.
