Anthony Hopkins is on screen for 16 minutes in that movie. In 16 minutes he won an Oscar and became arguay the most memorable villain in movie history. It's amazing what Hopkins did with that role, a true masterpiece.

16 fricking minutes

In "Network", Beatrice Straight WON an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress and Ned Beatty was nominated for Best Supporting Oscar (fricking loved his scene) with each having less than 6 minutes of screen time.

Levine was amazing and perfect for this role. I don't know how much he realised how his natural speaking voice would add so much more to this character.

Overlooked, yeah at the time he was but since..it seems his image is well known when seen to this day for that performance, all these years later. I can only imagine the research he had to do for the character.

Kevin Spacey as John Doe is the only other villain I can think of who did so much with so little screen time. John Doe is always so underrated, and he was the main antagonist. Unbelievable how he made the most of that time.

Yeah, don't get me wrong Anthony Hopkins was great, but Ted Levine's Buffalo Bill truly horrified me as a young teen watching this movie. It is a fantastic movie, and I usually watch it every couple of years.
