London Boulevard is Layer Cake

Anyone notice the similarities between these two movies?
A brief overview:
* A main character with dodgy connections, determined to leave their lives of crime behind. In LC, Daniel Craig's nameless character sells drugs for a gangster, in LB Colin Farrell's character (Mitchell) has just been released from prison after serving time for GBH.
* Both characters are being pursued by a "big-shot gangster" - LC actually has two, JimmyPrice, Craig's supplier and Eddie Temple, his rival. Mitchell is pursued by gangstr Rob Price.
* They eventually kill off this gangster - in Layer Cake, Craig only kills off Johnny Price, breaking into his house. Mitchell kills Price by breaking into his house too.
* Surprise ending. At the end of Layer Cake, Sidney shoots Craig, whereas at the end of London Boulevard, the kid that Mitchell couldn't shoot eventually stabs him.
* Both these men leave a devastated woman behind - Craig had just gotten married, and Mitchell was on his way to meet Charlotte (Kiera Knightley's character).
