For the most part, I thought it was pretty decent until the fricking awful ending. While it has a similar setup to Alien, this does feel like a very different movie. Theres some wonky intentional editing which I really didn't like and I do feel there are a few things that aren't explained very well. Also, the movie is pretty grim over anything else. I didn't leave feeling refreshed, just kinda sticky.(that may have to do with I had a spin class right before seeing the movie but whatever)

Saw it last night and I can't really come up with how I feel about it. I agree the ending was very subpar, and also telegraphed from a mile away. They didn't get me to care about any of the characters, tho they tried, and maybe that was the reason I didn't quite like it. It was okay. Nothing special. 5.5/10.

I might be in the minority but I loved the movie and really liked the ending. Far better than I thought it was going to be.

Calvin is pretty inconsistent in how he treats people.

I enjoyed it as well, much more than I thought I would. I wasn't expecting it to go in the horror direction as quickly as it did. Calvin was pretty brutal.

Saw it yesterday. The parallel to Alien was strong and obvious and the ending was predictable. However, I was entertained and that is why I go to the movies.

Felt like an Alien ripoff, was very predictable, and just bad. It was a waste of time.

The Magnificent Seven was obviously a remake or "ripoff" of Akira Kurosawa's 1954 Japanese film Seven Samurai, but many still enjoyed it.

Kuriosawa loed it because so much of his material is based off other things he was very honored that someone would base something off of his work.

The guy who wrote the screenplay acknowledged Alien as the inspiration for the story.

just saw it, maybe a 5 out of 10. one part i didn't understand is when the 2nd spacecraft came to push them to deep space.........right after the docking and the guy opened it up, what was happening? did the alien get in there and kill a bunch of people, and then catch the guy? or what?

Thinking they were being rescued, Sho opened the airlock and then Calvin attacked the crew of the spaceship. The ship wasn't able to dock properly so the breach caused Sho to get sucked into deep space.
