Neeson had expressed interest in the part but couldn't do it due to scheduling conflicts. THAT would have been awesome.

quote:

Played by Liam Neeson in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight films, the Arrow braintrust was thrilled to read that Neeson said he’d consider reprising the role. “We never thought he would,” said The CW’s Pedowitz. “We quickly went to him, just on the off-chance that he had the time to do it.” (He did not; Matt Nable, an Australian actor and former rugby player, got the part.)

This is a good (but long) article by the way.

While awesome, it's a connection I wouldn't want in arrow, that ties Arrow, and by proxy, the Flash to the TDK universe. Not sure that's a good thing.

Even at this early stage, executives at DC, The CW, and Warner Bros. (the studio that produces the show), are eyeing a third character who could possibly lead another show. “There are discussions going on,” said Mark Pedowitz, the president of The CW, in a recent telephone interview, “but I can’t tell you what they are.”

I wonder who this might be? Sounds like we might be getting a third show of this CW/DC universe.

It's not going to be on CW but Super Girl is getting a show on CBS.

That would be absolutely awesome...but I very seriously doubt they would be allowed to base a whole tv series on a Batman character, especially with Gotham running on Fox. You could get away with introducing Nightwing in a guest appearance on a show like Arrow, and not fully drag Batman's name into it. But if you have him as the lead of a series, then it would be near impossible not to drag Batman into it somehow.

DC wouldn't let them use Ted Kord in Arrow this season, I'm wondering if they might be saving him for this (if they go through with a 3rd CW show).

I guess its a dumb question bc I never read the comics and have only seen TDK trilogy and Arrow, but is Ra's Al Ghul the same character?

Was he in both comics? Can I get some background please.

hes in a lot of different comics because he is a major player. he is MOSTLY in Batman but the tv show Arrow is borrowing a lot from the Batman mythos. but yeah, it is always in essence the same character. he has his league and wants to shape the world to his vision.

Based on the announced characters on both Arrow and Flash, better bet is going to be Firestorm (going to be on Flash) or The Atom (as Brandon Routh is playing Ray Palmer on Arrow). I would be down for a Firestorm show!

But who was cast as Felicity's female love interest? Or was that just a dream I had?

Unfortunately I'm guessing it was just a dream, but maybe we'll get some good Sara and Nyssa action going on this season.

Yeah, I guess any good Sara/Nyssa action would now take on a whole new meaning (and creepy meaning).
