he mailed it in and now has becone a shill for the liberal agenda. I no longer watch him because comedians who become poiltical are not funny. Bill Maher is not a comic. He is an agitator.

a long time ago. This old angry POS is not funny and only throws fruit off the top of a roof and bows to liberals.

And Leno suggested to Dennis Miller the other night that he was turned off by the GOPs War on Women. My God.

what are these hollywood f*** drinking to make them this way. The President is literally telling them I will take all your taxes and give them to people who don't want to work.

They are so happy to do this and bow to this guy. WTF

What is it like to have politics influence every thing you watch?

I don't watch any late night talk show but I've also never watched any comedian/movie/tv show that wasn't political in nature and then be pissed bc it presented a political view I didn't agree with.

I thought the point of watching those shows was not having to watch or hear about politics?

fricking this.

I prefer Letterman to Leno because he's funnier and I watch the Daily Show because it's funny. The idea that I could be so put off by someone else's pov that it would bother me as much as it bothers some of you seems so off to me.

Letterman on NBC in the '80s was by far the greatest late night show I've ever seen. He has become one of the most disastrous declines in TV history, equaling MASH and actually outdoing All In The Family.

Carson was pretty boring when he got old too. And letterman has always had a rep of being crappy to the live audience, even in his prime.

I would dispute that, but in any event Carson was never, EVER anywhere close to being as bad as Letterman is now.

And Carson was approximately 10000000X a better interviewer

No one is denying Letterman has always been an a-hole

Why does anyone want to hear Leno or Letterman's point of view on politics?

I grew up with Carson. He was great in his prime as was letterman. I agree Carson is the better interviewer. Maybe it's my age, but I think letterman in his prime was way more cutting edge than Carson. Had a lot to do with the times too. Carson was never allowed to be too crazy. When letter,an was on at 11:30 and it was assumed no one was watching, it was
pretty funny. And sometimes really bizarre.

I don't need to hear either but they can't ignore a political gaffe and at some point their political leanings can be discerned. They also hire 20 year old joke writers and it is usually easier to make jokes about Romney than Obama.

Fwiw I think Kimmel is better than both of these guys at their current state but I have always felt Leno was a hack.
