Eric Kripke of Supernatural fame writing the pilot for Cinemax.
Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg will direct. They were also the reason there is a Preacher series.

I loved this series and looking forward to this. But it's going to be hard to pull off. It seriously needs to be condensed and done in one season. That way they can't mess it up too much. I read the books and there were 10 of them, I think. Could they knock it out in 12-1 hour episodes?
Also, Pegg has said he's too old for it now. Casting is going to be hard for guys like Butcher and MM. They are going to have to be massive..

I've never read this series and have heard good things about it. Ennis has been very hot or miss with me, so I avoided this one when it started. After it was out a while I heard the praise but felt it was too far into it for me to bother catching up.
As a result I picked up Jennifer Blood and thought it was crap. I also perused through a book on the store shelf one day that was demon porn (don't recall the title). It was quite bad.
I loved preacher and Hitman along with his Etrigan and Hellblazer runs. So maybe I should roll through this long series? Is it worth it all the way through, or does it fizzle out at some point?
