Anyone here seen this ? I just finished watching and was pretty blown away by how good it was. I don’t wanna spoil anything but highly recommend unless demonic movies freak you out too bad. Mrs jkyle had to leave the room but I was dialed in from start to finish. Very well done.

I saw it a few weeks ago and thought it was outstanding. Run a quick search. There was a long thread about it.

Isn't it comedic? Horror comedy?

I almost bumped an old thread asking if it was worth $15 but then saw it was on Shudder, so I'm going to rig up a free 7-day trial to watch this tomorrow I think.

Should have done it tonight, but I wasn't feeling it. Will watch tomorrow during the rain.

No, not at all. Basically a rival show of Johnny Carson that’s hanging on by a thread throws a Hail Mary on a halloween episode with a bunch of special guests involved in such things as demonic possession , paranormal , and one guy that’s hell bent on debunking it all. Don’t wanna spoil anything but shite starts getting crazy. The main actor (I can’t remember his name ) does a jam up job although I don’t think I can recall him ever having a lead role or even really a major role in much of anything popular. But no, not really comedic whatsoever.

I can't believe that it is already streaming. That was quick. Of course, it is a small independent film.

Let me know what you think. I wouldn’t say it’s super scary but def unsettling and just a good watch from start to finish. Been a few hours since I finished it and I haven’t stopped thinking about it.

It's more shocking that it made theaters. It is a Shudder movie, IIRC.

Dune 2 is also streaming

I have kept my distance from spoilers, but I have a feeling it's going to be a Demons ripoff with a psychological twist

Not at all. I would have loved a Demons remake

Shudder and pretty much most movies that are designed to do streaming only are now doing very short theater runs for those that want it. Makes sense

Gonna watch very soon. Love possession/ghost movies done well and this sounds unique. Just leery of them using technology as an instrument I guess like smartphones, apps and TV’s. Always wanted to see how Halloween 3 would have gone had they not just ended it when they did.

The film seems to have had a lot of odd treatment.

It had its premier at SxSW ... LAST YEAR ... and then didn't get released for almost a year. During that time, they apparently added some VERY minimal CGI. If you've seen the film, I think it was added in the final scene (fire).

I agree that it is not a comedy, but there were a few light moments. If I had to categorize it, I would call it something like a light horror mockumentary.

Myself and the wife watched this last night and enjoyed it. The lead actor nailed his performance as the late night host imo.
