I must say, it is tempting, given that I'm curious as to how shite escalates to where the guy is holding a gun in the trailer.

It was okay.
Very light on plot, heavy on acting. It's worth seeing if you're a Samuel L Jackson fan, solid performance by him. A few scenes that will get a chuckle out of audience members. Don't go if you're looking for a great storyline.

#1 at the Box Office, surprised more people aren't commenting on it.
One gripe I had with this film is that there isn't much character development for a few people. You're introduced briefly to certain characters that you assume will have some relevance later in the film, and then you simply don't see them anymore.
