Just finished tonights episode. I don't know if Raylan survives and that worries me.

He some how gets his badge back in the previews, have to think he has extra protection at the end.

Tim has been pure gold this season.

the line about Sigourney Weaver "choking me out with her thighs"

laughed for a minute on that one.

Off the wall.

well placed one liner.

I think he has one more save left in him really. Maybe he doesn't save Raylan again but me thinks he'll get a curtain call.

if not, he'd better be on his game for the quotes.

I have felt all season that Raylan wasn't going to get out of Harlan alive. I felt good about that prediction all the way until he let Boyd go to save Bob. I think Bob brought Raylan back right before he crossed the point of no return. I am guessing he lives but turns in his badge before heading to FL. If it ends up like that, I think it's interesting that Boyd ultimately saved Raylan by not killing Bob . During that night time showdown with Boyd, Raylan was definitely as dark and full of hatred as any other show's protagonist. The response to Boyd's line about his daughter was chilling.

what could have possibly been the deal with Ava dropping deweys shark tooth necklace, that just added another storyline to squeeze into the final episode.

any chance its a "1" episode two parter for the finale?

my only complaint with this season has been a lack of Art, other than that they're crushing it.

So who was Ava leaving a message for on the phone? I'm guessing Duffy.

couple of things from Yost's interview

apparently that was it for Vasquez

quote:

was just fun. It was just something that evolved in terms of how incensed and how riled up Rick Gomez got playing Vasquez. I will say this, that’s his last scene in the series.

didn't know this..

quote:

We knew that there would be a variety of things in the box. Now, you can’t apparently say that something is a Billie Jean King autographed tennis ball unless you actually get an autographed Billie Jean King tennis ball with a certificate. You can’t just fake that on a show, apparently. I didn’t know that. So John Harrington, our head of props, sent away and got a Billie Jean King tennis ball and a certificate. That was real.

on Ava's phone call

quote:

We saw Ava call someone when she was on the run.
You’re not supposed to know who she’s calling.

That’s something we will find out in the finale?
Yes. To a degree. It will always remain somewhat of a mystery, but I think the audience will understand what happened.

My thought was that she was trying to arrange an exit through Limehouse again. When they showed her attempting to cross the bridge, it seemed like the bridge that Limehouse had previously protected since it led to his holler.

I have never understood Raylan's apparent hatred of Boyd this season. Boyd has saved Raylan's life on more than one occasion in this series.

Like when Dickey Bennett had Raylan tied up in the tree and was about to beat him with the baseball bat. And at the end of the first season when the Miami drug cartel showed up.

Season 1:
quote:

"Boyd saves Raylan's life when he shoots the nephew with the sniper rifle. After the niece escapes, Boyd stops Raylan and drives after her, saying Raylan won't stop him because he is the only friend left he has left in this world."

Season 2:
quote:

In the end (and skipping lots of detail), Boyd ends up redeeming himself by saving Raylan's life and having Raylan in turn save Ava's.

If someone saved my life twice the last thing I would want to do was put a bullet in them and watch them bleed to death at my feet - like others in the show think is Raylan's main wish in life.

Either the writer's are nuts for trying to create a hatred that I just don't see existing, or maybe Raylan and Boyd are partners with a surprise in store.

he may have saved raylan's arse a time or two, but he's still a criminal who's killed plenty of other people. Not to mention recruiting arlo into his gang lead to the death of his aunt hellen

Raylan just hates Harlan. He hates his childhood. He hates his father. He hates what those things have projected onto him, and he hates that he knows he can never wash them off.

Boyd just represents all those things.

Raylan signing over his fathers deed to the hillbilly "just in case he didn't make it" was definitely foreshadowing. Now whether or not it is a misdirect is another question.
