Surely you aren't saying Superman is a superior character?

Read All-Star Superman and then get back to me.

It perfectly explains and illustrates why he's such a great character and the best superhero out there. He is basically the best of humanity and that's why he's great.

SMH, there's more to him than that.

hopefully this will help resurrect the Captain Marvel/Shazam flick with The Rock as Black Adam that went away once Warner decided everything needed to be gritty.

Not happening. DC/Warner can't use shazam anymore and he just doesn't have the name recognition for it. He's basically a weaker and blander version of Supes.

Besides they already did an animated short on this.

since when can they not use him?

They just renamed him to Shazam recently since most people associate him with that name.

and a weaker blander Supes? Uhh no. IMO he has more going on b/c he is really just a superhero fanboy kid trapped in an adults body. Never mind that he can kick Superman's arse since he is a magic user.

and besides they've already done animated shorts with Superman and Batman. I guess that means JLA is a dumb idea that needs to be moved past too ehh?

He's not invincible. Batman has a contingency plan for all the Justice League. He can kill anyone of them whenever he wants.

My bad. I got the two confused. I meant Captain Marvel.

I've seen that. Supes was having issues until they took the dumb way out by having him cover Billy's mouth.

besides, you must establish Captain Marvel/Shazam if you ever want to get a Kingdom Come film series. (where you will see Superman get his arse handed to him.)

If Superman was around in the Nolan Universe "The Dark Knight" and the "The Dark Knight Rises" would have lasted 15 minutes each. You think Superman would be playing with his pecker in Metropolis, while some thug who beat down his close friend was holding Gotham hostage? shite, Superman could destroy Bane in 15 seconds.

In his own continuity.

Can almost guarantee a scene with Supes bound by/dying from Kryptonite and Batman saves him.

frick I hope this doesn't happen. Nolan's Batman should be done. He had a completed arc. People don't go to a Batman movie to see Christian Bale (people tend to bitch about him actually), they go to a Batman movie to see Batman and Nolan's spin on the universe. This is no longer an actor driven system in Hollywood. Putting Bale in it wouldn't really increase the profits. Nolan's, sure, but not Bale's. Let the Nolan's series just die and start from scratch with a new Batman movie, but please leave the origins out.

Couldn't the JL movie just take place in between Begins and before DK/DKR?

No it couldn't. TDK takes place a few weeks after Batman Begins, and we know Batman has just been mopping around and not done much of anything between TDK and TDKR.

Because I just don't see how Superman could stand by during the events of TDK or TDKR and not do something about it. It just doesn't work.

You've never read any of the comics that these characters originated from?

ETA:

You're obviously entitled to your opinion but I ask this for a reason. These characters not interfering with each others "worlds" has been a staple of superhero storytelling since the beginning of time.

You might as well be saying "I can't watch these movies because they wear capes." That's ok if its your opinion but my question to you is why are you even watching these movies then?

I love Batman...so I'd be down for yet ANOTHER origin movie. I'm not sure if everyone would...and I'm not sure it would be necessary.

Honestly, I'm sick of Batman's origin. Debatably next to Superman himself (and as a side note I'm a tad bit bummed they're doing Supes origin again; just make it where he first appears in Metropolis), Batman has the most well known origin story. It doesn't need to be explained and can be alluded to pretty easily.

Really Batman should do what the Bond franchise does. Just have the films stand on their own terms and don't bother making a film that's merely set up (with maybe a few exceptions). I'd like to see a Batman film based around Arkham Asylum, Hush, Red Hood, etc, but they don't require much set up at all.
