Just getting started on the Walking Dead

I'm not really a zombie fan, but a guy convinced me I HAD to watch this show because it was just that good. I've heard it's good, and didn't have any real reason not to at this point, so I'm diving in. I'm 3 episodes in and am pretty interested so far. I'm not asking "is it good, should I keep watching?"...I"m going to do my due diligence and ride it out. My question is does it hit any lulls? Like with BB for instance, you could argue it just keeps getting better the whole series. With Dexter, you can say 1-4 were phenomenal then it falls off a cliff to basically unwatchable. That's kinda what I'm getting at...does it stay about the same, get better at some point, fall off the map at some point, etc.

There are some lulls in the 2nd and 3rd seasons, but then it takes off again.

Some people really disliked Season 2. I'll admit it gets slow, but I enjoyed it.
Other than that it picks up again in Season 3 and doesn't really let up. Season 5 had some lulls, but it's still good.
Season 2 is super underrated around here though.

Personally the 1st and this past season were my favorites. Most say that season 2 hits a lull, but the season 2 finale is pretty darn intense.

There are definitely lulls. Where they are depend on what you like.
I've pretty much enjoyed every season but there are some episodes where absolutely nothing happens

The first half of season two is awful.
Season three had roadbumps, as well.
