Yeah and why kick the guy 36 times right after you kissed her?

He was trying to kill him? Just a hunch.

Because the guy came to kill them. He kissed her to act as a cover and check out his gun. Not that hard to tell what happened.

Over thinking scenes to be contrary does not make you "deep"

Deep? Haha I'm pretty sure he was dead after the 5th kick or so... She was absolutely mortified, you think he'd notice that.

Can't believe this thread's gone over a page without a call to ban you yet.

Fwiw...I loved Drive. Thought it was probably the movie of the year.

I enjoyed it. It was great at what it set out to be: a stylish, cool, and slick art film. The cinematography and soundtrack were absolutely phenomenal.

Let me guess, you're favorite films recently were The Avengers and The Hunger Games?

Drive is a work of art and one of the best films Ive seen in the last few years in this age of bad movies.

Well, I haven't seen The Avengers and I was disappointed in The Hunger Games, read the book and basically hated the movie.

You know me so well already.

this. The movie took complete advantage of the two things it had going for it, Ryan Gosling and an awesome soundtrack.

Why am I the Guy Who Hates Drive? I said it was a short film extended to feature length and that I didn't buy the plotting.

I don't hate the film, just fell that it's overrated

That's crazy because I just got finished watching it as well. After hearing the hype for awhile, I was kind of underwhelmed. But I thought the soundtrack was awesome and definitely set the mood. Just wasn't that into the overall plot to be honest.

Agree. That it was mentioned in Oscar talk was and is ridiculous.

I'd be interested to learn what kind of hype those who jizz all over this mediocre pile were exposed to before they actually saw the film.

I don't see how that is even possible. I've never seen a movie that relied so much on a soundtrack.

I was not exposed to any hype for Drive before I saw it. I saw one trailer before it came out and eventually saw it on DVD months later.

Hugh Jackman was originally cast...

The Scorpion on his back represents the fable of the scorpion and the toad...
