Wow @ that finale.
This show is so good. Is McIntyre as good a Spartacus as Whitfield in Season 2 and beyond?

The change takes some getting used to, but he ends up a great Spartacus. The seasons after the prequel season are also good, they just have a different tone since they aren't at the ludus anymore.

Blood and Sand was quite possibly the best single season of television I have ever seen....Awesome from start to finish....Even my wife freaking loved it!
The first season with McIntyre (Vengeance) he is definitely not as good as Whitfield, but he does pick up steam later on in the season and for the 4th season (War of the Damned) he gets a lot better.....Andy Whitfield was the man as Spartacus, RIP

Gods of the Arena is fantastic.
Vengeance is by far the weakest season. Not sure if it was getting used to Whitfield, Whitfield taking time to hit his stride or what, but it was definitely the weakest.
They finished strong with War of the Damned though. That shite was great TV.

No, not close IMO. Still an enjoyable show, though.
And probably not fair to McIntyre; Whitfield just killed it in that role. Such a shame.
Weird thing is, McIntyre looked too small to me, but google says he is/was 3 inches taller than Whitfield.

I don't know about as good but He grows on you for sure. For me it became a non issue.

you get used to the new guy after a while...that show was great...some serious booty on there too....lots of talent..
