I saw a lot of people ranking the episodes and talking very poorly of Season 3

I personally loved it and feel it may have been the best of the bunch.

Nosedive was my least favorite by far.

I watched all three seasons in about 2 weeks so they don't feel like different seasons to me and the earlier seasons didn't have time to resonate with me and become more regarded.

Hated in the Nation
Playtest
Shut Up & Dance
San Junipero
Men Against Fire

Were all excellent episodes.

Bron's episode was great. Thought the mechanical bee episode with the waif was too long. Wish they would have spent that extra time on a better story.

Watched San Junipero last night and I think it's one of the best few, maybe the best episode of the entire series. It could be it's most ambitious which is saying something. Philosophical themes of sickness, death and the afterlife. Really blew me away when I figured out what was going on.

In the long BM S3 thread San Junipero kinda got dumped on and it seemed people overall didn't care for it that much...I loved it though and thought it was one of the best. Strangely, Ep6 hated in the nation was talked about as one of the best but I didn't really care for it too much.

Honestly, even the worst Black Mirror episodes are fricking great when compared to most other "television" series.

Kinda like the worst Game of Thrones episode is light years better than anything else you would've watched that evening.

Black Mirror is great...period.

That confirms it: San Junipero is one of the greatest episodes of the series.

Waif cleans up nicely.

I had no problem with the length of Hated in the Nation

Especially since it will be the last episode of Black Mirror for likely a long time.

San Junipero

The comments the guy said about how "the game ending can change when 2 people play". Makes me wonder if the woman really chose to join her or not. Or was being with her, just her idea of heaven. I know a lot of people like to believe she joined her..but at the same time I'm kinda 50/50 on it.

Not too long

Really? I thought it was generally liked in the discussion thread.

I have the final episode left to watch, and part of me hasn't watched it yet so that I still have something left to watch of BM.

Shut Up and Dance is classic Black Mirror, and what the show is all about IMO. San Junipero is decent, and gives a relatively positive outlook for a change. Nosedive wasn't very good, but the idea of it is spot on I think. Playtest was cool, not great though. Men Against Fire was cool.

Shut Up and Dance was great, one of two maybe three episodes that could take place in present day, it really shows a bleak outlook on humanity. Loved the closing scenes with Radiohead head playing, intense stuff.

To me though, San Junipero is what the show is all about and takes it's past skeptical themes of the power of technology and takes it even further. Blurring the lines of afterlife and technology and breaking conventional rules of time and death. I've only seen the episode once, need to watch it again and hopefully pick up on a few more things.

Agreed. It's eerily spot on when it comes to the toxic social media collective, and how dangerous groupthink, and the potential loss of true human autonomy could be an inevitable outcome just beyond the horizon. But at the same time it has me pumped about the technological advances we will witness in our livetimes. Me anyway, most of you geezers will prob be gone long before the singularity. That may end up being more of a curse than a blessing though.
