Anyone watch this? BBC alternate history/ fantasy piece set during the Napolionic Wars. I watched two episodes last night and it had its moments. 90% on rotten tomatoes. I like the setting and it's well acted with a strong cast, but it hasn't really grabbed be outside of a few moments. I'm going to watch another tonight, I don't want to give up on it yet.

I enjoy it, but it isn't, strangely, the most exciting thing ever shown. It's really (so far) this struggle between the two magicians and their ever widening gap as to the purpose and role of magic in modern England.
I think it is about to pick up more though as we get closer to the Raven King becoming a part of the show.
FYI, I'm only 4 or 5 episodes in.

I'm only 3 in but it's decent so far. Not great but decent. The production value is pretty good.

Seems interesting. I'm two episodes in. It's hokie. Like a little more dorky than Harry Potter. But it's pretty good.

The novel got really high marks. I tired to read it, but it just never grabbed me.

Yeah, I'm currently reading the novel. It's solid, but nothing amazing. Sounds like the show is the same way.
