If someone would have mentioned how they missed the show since it went off the air 5 yrs ago, I wouldn't have known they were messing with me. I didn't know it was still on and won't miss a beat when it is gone. And neither will most of America.

I love how you think your ignorance of modern pop culture is actually you representing all of America. Amazing mental gymnastics.

Perfectly stated. And when a guest is full of shite, he doesn't throw softballs. His interview of Judith Miller a few months ago was amazing for it's bluntness and his hard follow up questions which I don't see many other places.

It really is a bizarro version of Bill Maher's "Politically Incorrect". The show should be called "Politically Correct". Has he invited a single guest there that isn't just a pussy? If Wilmore is as cool as he thinks he is, invite Salman Rushdie on, but he's too big of a pussy to speak out against the Muslims or slightly risk his studio being bombed. Say what you will about Maher, but he's not a pussy, and he'll invite anyone on his program that can debate him. Wilmore just gets softballs as guests who all agree with him. It can't get any worse than his show.

Man, I remember vividly that Cramer interview. 08 was scary with the crash and the events leading up to that DS episode were great! Stewart's initial commentary went viral, getting picked up by umpteen other networks culminating to this before the two hammered out a deal for Jim to come on.

My honorable mention that I'll miss is his perpetual back and forth with Bill O'reilly. I always thought it was more comical banter than thought provoking discussions when those two would go at it. The underlying tone to one up each other, I suppose. In the end, I think they really like each other. Or at least their forced, by partisan, relationship.

Bill Burr was on one of the early episodes before I quit watching.

I think it's one of those instances where they both despise each other's political opinions but like each other as people overall. Which is how everyone should be but rarely happens.

Agreed. Both have machines backing them and their investment in them is high but I think as people, that likability (?) for one another still comes through the tv. I still chuckle thinking how Bill looks at Jon and his audience as "stoned slackers." Always his go to.

That's just a side show for the people Maher brings on. He's not controversial in the slightest. The thing he's most famous for is an epic dog cuss of Philadelphia (and god bless him for that). Sure he might say some politically incorrect shite, but bring on Ann Coulter or Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Bring on someone who can actually debate you under the table. Wilmore doesn't welcome anyone who he thinks is against him and may be able to make him look foolish.

Bill invited a highly intelligent Christian onto his program, and I'd say Maher certainly lost the debate with him. No way would Wilmore ever risk losing his own talking points with someone else, which is why he's simply shite. He's a hack and would never encourage debate like this on his show: LINK

I'm not saying he's the most controversial, just that he's not a pussy. I'll go to war for my man Bill

I love Bill Burr, I really do, but inviting him on a comedy show isn't going to do much. His view are just funny and not controversial. He would be a fantastic final panelist for Maher, but he seems to be the only guy worth a shite who has gone on with Wilmore.

I just won't forget the night I turned onto the panel when Bruce Jenner came out as Caitlyn that Wilmore had on 2 trannies, a gay, and a person from E! News as his panelists. Yeah, I'm sure you're going to have great roundtable discussion there. :rolleye: Bill on the other hand got some people who had a slight problem with it, and that included himself. Bill was clearly a bit freaked out about it, but wasn't a coward and didn't give a shite talking openly that it it creeped him out. He's a condescending dick, but he's fearless and doesn't give a frick. Wilmore I think partakes in journalistic cowardice, and especially since his fellow colleagues include fearless individuals such as Steven Colbert and John Oliver, it is simply embarrassing he's in their ranks.

I hope not much longer.

I don't know who is watching his show.

His show is an insult to the audience Stewart and Colbert gathered over the years.
