Just saw it. I thought the first one was better, but this was still super enjoyable just from an action standpoint. It's so nice to watch fights without cuts happening every tenth of a second like so many movies these days.

just got out.
fun movie, wasnt as good as the first.
cinematography was beautiful (props to the colorist), good world building, some good humor. choreography was great, but it got a little repetitive (CAR, CAR, Judo, Judo hold, reload, shoot 2 more guys that come running up, shoot guy in judo hold, CAR, CAR, CAR). script wasnt as tight as the first and it felt a little disjointed IMO. the opening sequence couldve been cut in half. villain and supporting characters weren't nearly as good as those in the original.
as good an action sequel as you'll get in today's cesspool of movies. nice to see some skill and techinque from the actors, especially compared to the shitty bourne and taken movies where it takes 1000000 cuts to have matt damon throw a punch. good cinematography goes a long way.
I was hoping it would dethrone Raid/Raid 2 as the greatest action movie 1-2 punch, but comes up short.
3/5 (first was a 4/5 fwiw)

I thought it was every bit as good as the first one. I liked the motivations in the first one better but the world building in this one evens it out.

also LOL at the named shoutouts for Trijicon, Kimber (of fricking course Kimber would pay up to get the mention ), Benelli, et al. I guarantee H&K said "frick that, we're not paying" which is why the P30 got stashed in favor of the G34
Also, the TTI AR that John uses has the same handguard as one of mine

Movie was awesome. Love how it kind of pokes fun at the first one and at it itself just a little bit.

yes, it's perfectly tongue-in-cheek

Just got out as well. Great movie. I'd rank it right up there with the first, if not slightly behind. I felt the action was stronger, and they have some inventive combat scenes. I really liked the ending actually. It made it a lot of sense, it threw everything up into the air from this point forward. Just great story.
Cinematography was on point all the way through, excellent choices of Set pieces like the Catacombs, subway and museum.
This. It did just enough to know that it doesn't take itself too seriously, but it didn't drown the viewer in it.
Just good film making all around on these movies.

Just got back from seeing it. The first was better but #2 was still awesome. Can't wait for #3.

I think both of us had the 9". He had 11.5" barrel, I have 10.5". Couldn't tell if he had the Alpha version (cheaper, all-aluminum version) or the standard (aluminum/magnesium blend - super light). If he had the alpha, then he could've had a 10 or 11 inch handguard since he wasn't running a can
