Dude is a frickin beast with $180,000 in 7 wins.

Supposedly he's getting a lot of hate for his style, but I think it's fun to watch.

Agreed. I enjoy the show a lot more when there is a legit champion. Roger Craig is one of my favorite players ever and Chu reminds me a lot of him.

He hasn't even been close to losing. One of his games (Monday, I think) he missed both Daily Doubles in Double Jeopardy, and he still smashed them.

Anybody hating on him is a fricking idiot. Is he supposed to play "normal" and possibly lose?

It's early in his win streak but he's been absolutely dominating. He's had 30 grand at final Jeopardy when 2nd place had like 8 grand. Like Craig said, he hasn't been close to losing yet.

He jumps around the board going after the more difficult questions first. He's a 'Daily Double hunter'

God damn, I just looked up Ken's numbers...he averaged $34,000 a day in his original run...and he won 74 times

Chu might not get to Ken's money total, because he either gets the DDs too early to make a HUGE leap, or he gets them late enough to where he's already got a huge lead, and he doesn't need to risk too much. But his style of play could easily allow him to rack up 25-30K each day.

He jumps around the board a lot. He usually starts with the big money questions and grabs a big lead at the beginning of the round.

What's so stupid about people complaining is that they have to eventually go through every single question on the board.

What the frick difference does it make if a guy doesn't go straight down a column? Every question will be hit.

Stupid.

im not sure i understand how thats any type of strategy when in the end all the questions save 1 or 2 get asked.

The strategy is that you ignore the $200 questions bc they never have the double jeopardys. By jumping around you give yourself a better chance of hitting the bonuses as well as keeping the other players out of sync.

It isn't really an advantage bc anyone can do it... the only people who are really complainging are old farts who have watched the show for 40 years and think it's "disrespecting" or some shite.

Arthur is a great player but Jennings is the Babe Ruth of Jeopardy.

He hunts for the Daily Doubles, which are usually in the higher money clues. So by the time he's found both of them, most of the high-money clues are gone, and the other contestants don't have a daily double to make up ground on him.

Yup, the girl last night actually tried to do it herself. Chu is just really good at it

I think he knows that in a game without daily doubles, which can significantly increase your opponent's total with good wager, that he would hold a good advantage of winning against anyone.

He starts with the high dollar amounts first in hopes of either eliminating them early in the round and also giving him the best chance of finding one first before his opponents.

He still has to answer the questions right.
And, if other people buzz in faster with the right answers on all the other squares, then they'd beat him.

This guy would probably win more often than not even if he played the game "normally". He's using game theory to increase his likelihood of winning even more.

Right. I watch him. He gets most answers.

He'd win 99 out of 100 times. He just increases his winning amounts, that's all.
