One of the goat movies. Starts Thursday at AMCs

Countless quotes.

Front bow, back stern. Get it wrong squirt and I’ll throw your arse out the little round window on the side “

I might check it out. I haven’t watched it in it’s entirety.

All time favorite movie.

Remember seeing it on tv as a kid, probably on TNT or TBS. It sparked my love for movies.

Just watched it the other day. I think my copy is 4K. Amazing movie. Some depressing shite reading about Robert Shaw. All of his $$$ from the movie went to the IRS.

Top 10 movie, but how good will this really look in IMAX? The shark looks awful and the 70s cinematography can’t possibly be remastered well enough, right?

Watched in the balcony of the Joy Theater on Canal. Big black guy on the end of the row was cheering the guy to get out the water. He was rocking his chair so hard that the entire row was rocking. It was wild, loud, and fun

OK fine. Downvote if you must but I could live with a remake of this. Especially if Steven Spielberg did it.

By today's standards, the shark is really silly looking and ruins the affect for younger people.

A well done CGI shark with an excellent script and some quality actors could really revive this.

Oh, and in the book I think Hooper fricked Brody's wife.

Who would play Quint? Maybe Daniel Craig?

I wouldn't want to try and top quint if I was an actor.

That dude nailed it perfectly. And most the scenes the shark is fine.

I watched it at movie tavern and it was still very enjoyable.

The blood and body parts were very fake looking as worst parts

The scene where Quint talks about the USS Indianapolis is no less than a Master Class in acting.

It's a movie about a giant shark. If it weren't for spielberg, no one would care. It's a crappy B-movie masked by a decent director.
